Short Biography

Tony Lambe was born in St. Lawrence in 1963, and lived there for most of his life. He was greatly influenced by the cultural heritage of a mining, fishing, and soccer town. His sisters Lucinda and Elaine still live in St. Lawrence along with his brother Todd and father Clement. Tony now resides in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, with his wife Joanne, and three children Serena, Jacob, and Noah.

Tony graduated university (Memorial) with a B.A. (hons.), M.A., and B.Ed. degrees and teaches English in Point Leamington Academy in Point Leamington. He uses music in the classroom and organizes a school talent show every year featuring all kinds of musical styles.

Tony has been playing music since he was in high school and has entertained his friends over the years. Recently, after much prodding by his friends about cutting a CD of some of his material, it was accomplished. All music and lyrics on the CD entitled The Salt of the Earth are written by Tony. The instrumentation was also played by Tony, and has the flavor he was looking for Aa raw, acoustic, folk style.@
