"A party is in the works , mark your calendar - August 01-09-2009 is jammed to the rafters with events , a committee of volunteers aim to please , your hometown beckons you to enjoy a barrel of laughter , jokes and stories , your friends want you to rant and roar and dance the night away , enjoy the aroma of mom's home cooked meals , now don't forget , the light will be on and the door ajar" - Mayor Rowsell.
Plans are well under way for St. Lawrence Day 2009 and COME HOME YEAR 2009. Combined with Come Home Year, it is to be bigger than ever.
Opening ceremonies will take place on Aug 1st. The itinerary is posted on the Come Home Year Committee Web Site.
