Says Firefighters Went Above and Beyond

The mayor of St.Lawrence is paying tribute to
firefighters in the wake of a spectacular fire which
gutted a closed-up school. There's not much left to
Marion Elementary after the blaze but the four
concrete walls. Fire departments from St.Lawrence,
Lawn and Marystown pitched in to keep the fire from
spreading to nearby buildings, including a multi-unit
apartment complex. Mayor Wade Rowsell says the
firefighters went to the limit. There were no injuries
in the fire.
