Recreation is an important part of our community.  We stay active and competitive in many sports against many other communities on the Burin Peninsula.

St. Lawrence is a great place for the athletically inclined.   It has the facilities and programs to accommodate the needs of all individuals ranging from the beginner to the highly skilled competitor.

The town has been acclaimed for its soccer excellence and has more provincial trophies and championships than any other town, its size in Canada.  From this we gained the reputation as "The Soccer Capital of Canada".  We have a great Minor Soccer program which helps younger children grow and excel in the future as skilled senior players.  We currently have two regulation sized soccer fields which both are operational.
